The lack of positive tests could be a good sign, or simply an inability for labs to return results

For the first time in more than two weeks, no positive tests for COVID-19 were recorded for San Luis Obispo County. As cases in the state and country continue to skyrocket, recording no tests could be a measure of success for the residents of SLO County, or it could mean that testing for the state is so backlogged that it was not possible to return tests results.

Other cases also remain static day over day, with six people still hospitalized, and four in the ICU.

One certainly positive note, active cases fell to 28, with 22 recovering at home and an increase of eight for a total of 65 deemed fully recovered.

UPDATED: Shortly after this report, the County of San Luis Obispo Public Health Department reported the county’s first COVID-19 related death. One of the patients in the ICU passed away due to COVID-19 complications. READ REPORT HERE.
