Sunshine of ‘normal life’ looms on the horizon

Hope surges as the battle against COVID-19 is brought within manageability for healthcare — nationally and locally. Discussions of reopening bring imaginations back to life in communities and discussions of timelines for a return to normalcy become talk of the town.

On Sunday, a single case of COVID-19 was reported by San Luis Obispo County officials, with all other numbers holding steady. The confirmed case brought Paso Robles’ count to 33 total cases, and the county total to 132.

With 111 deemed fully recovered, the hospitalized cases also reduced to two cases, and no patients in the ICU. Only 20 total cases are still being treated, with 18 recovering from home.

SLO County officials are scheduled to brief the public on Monday at 3:15 p.m. from the Joint Information Center in SLO. The briefing will be live streamed on Facebook.
