Lieutenant John Hill, Public Information Officer of California Men’s Colony sent the following response to hearing reports of local media outlets reporting cases of COVID-19 in CMC population.

“Yesterday and today, I have received unconfirmed reports of local media outlets broadcasting stories about two (2) California Men’s Colony inmates testing positive for the COVID-19 virus. That is not true. As of this moment, the California Men’s Colony has not had any inmates test positive for COVID-19. If the reports I am receiving are incorrect, please disregard this message. I just want to quash any rumors or concerns before they start.
