The Gage Fire was at 40 percent containment as of Monday morning, according to Cal Fire.
The fire is burning near Running Deer Road and Gage Irving Road near Lake Nacimiento north of Paso Robles. It was reported Sunday afternoon and has burned 45 acres.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
