President of the Paso Robles Youth Sports Council Marc Dart coordinates the manpower and funding to carry out new projects as well as annual maintenance, repair and upgrades; recently to softball batting cages built by PRYSC five years ago at Winifred Pifer School.
“Our partnership with the City of Paso Robles and the Paso Robles [Joint Unified] School District continues to be an invaluable resource for our leagues. Our community-based youth sport leagues couldn’t operate without reasonable access to these sports facilities. We truly appreciate the support we receive from these entities, and our organization is all about giving back and doing what we can to help maintain, improve and continue to develop these facilities,” adds Dart. Other officers include Vice President Gene Messina, Treasurer Field Gibson and Secretary Amberly Yarger.
“Regarding Larry Moore Park, construction is in its first stage, beginning with renovations of the bathroom and playground facilities. The next step in the development is the addition of lighted playing fields, where we will leverage our volunteer and monetary resources to help develop the park into its full potential. Progress on the North River Road project is in the site planning and surveying stages. The city is building their tertiary water project; using treated wastewater for landscaping purposes. The city would like to use this development as it is a perfect candidate for its use being located inline with the proposed development of the system,” adds Dart.
