2019 Miss California Mid-State Fair Queen ran on platform “Autism: Not A Disability, A Different Ability.”

The California Mid-State Fair is pleased to announce that 17-year-old Mikaila Ciampi of Paso Robles has been crowned the 2019 Miss California Mid-State Fair Queen. Mary Hambly of San Luis Obispo was the 1st Runner Up and Kara Bullard of Paso Robles was the 2nd Runner Up. Arroyo Grande’s Yvette Fiorentino was named Miss Congeniality.

Mikaila will be a Senior at Mission College Preparatory High School this fall. Her hobbies & interests include basketball, singing, volunteer work, and spending time with friends and family. She has maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.24 and will be receiving the Herman and Jeanne Maulhardt Memorial Scholarship. She describes herself as confident, vivacious, ambitious, dependable, and trustworthy. Mikaila’s platform titled “Autism: Not A Disability, A Different Ability” aims to educate young kids on how to understand and respectfully address their peers with autism in the community.
