Event to be Held May 5 & 6 at Paso Robles Event Center
It’s time to renew, re-do and re-feather our nests! The Three Speckled Hens launched their first show at the Legion Hall in Templeton in 2007 with 15 local dealers. Now, 11 years later, their Antiques and Old Stuff show is attracting more than 150 dealers from as far away as Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico! This show is one of the top flea markets in the country according to Flea Market Style, Flea Market Décor, and Romantic Homes Magazine.
The home décor trends have met a new level of design of renewal and re-imagining! The industrial and eclectic themes blend well with traditional; particularly the modern farm house trend popularized by Chip and Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper. Along with antiques, the ‘old stuff’ includes vintage, primitives, remakes, and repurposed treasures from homes and barns from a by gone era.
- Here are a few tips for the avid “antiques and collectible junkers.” Bring cash! It’s the great negotiator and many dealers do not accept credit cards. Most of the dealers re-stock overnight, so buy a two-day pass to come back on Sunday for deals and special buys.
- Visit the Coop Café for sustenance and the perfect Bloody Mary for a long day of shopping. Check out the Mega Maps for dealer names and booth numbers. There’s a Pickin’s Holding Area for large items and a crew to load your car or truck!
A portion of the proceeds benefit Jack’s Helping Hand, a local nonprofit that offers assistance and programs for children with cancer and special needs — jackshelpinghand.org.
