11th Annual Dog Splash Days! Doggone Fun!
Templeton Community Pool will be filled with happy dogs on the weekend of September 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Swim sessions are on the hour and limited to 20 dogs at a time for fun and safety. Dog life vests and floating toys are provided. Local dog trainers and therapists serve as “lifeguards” for dogs that will swim, splash and fetch floatie toys!

Bring a picnic lunch and lawn chairs to spend the afternoon watching the spectacle. Event sponsors include Las Tablas Animal Hospital, Lemos Feed and Pet Supply, Rabobank of Templeton, and County Supervisors John Peschong and Debbie Arnold.
Thanksgiving for Paso Robles
Thanksgiving for Paso Robles is in need of people to help on its steering committee. There is an especially large need for someone to run the kitchen, as its lead chef moved away – Chef Ryan is now the Executive Chef at The Majestic Hotel in Yosemite.
Thanksgiving for Paso Robles began meeting this year on Thursday, Aug. 17. Meetings are on the first and third Thursdays through October at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Jim Utter, 2607 Vineyard Circle in Paso Robles. Closer to the event, the committee meets weekly. Hesperia Hall Quilt Show
The 15th annual Hesperia Hall Quilt Show will take place on Friday, Sept. 15 from 2 to 9 p.m., with a potluck at 7 p.m. Contemporary as well as vintage quilts of the area will be displayed, with photos and histories of the quilters. Approximately 40 quilts will be shown, over half being bed sized. An embroidery exhibit will grace the stage. There will an opportunity quilt and door prizes. Admission is free. Hesperia Hall is located at 51602 Bryson Hesperia Road, north of Lake Nacimiento. Golden State Classics Car Club – Downtown Paso for Labor Day Weekend
As reported in the August PASO Magazine, remember Friday, Sept. 1 and Saturday, Sept. 2 bring the fifth annual Cruise and Car Show.
This is a family-oriented two-day event. The Cruise down Spring Street from 6th to 23rd Streets begins at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the downtown City Park is the place to be. See a cadre of classics, custom rigs, woodies, street rods, and VWs along with their owners to tell you about them, plus plenty of car-stuff vendors, food booths and cars for sale to keep you busy.

Rendezvous at the Country Club
San Luis Country Club will host CASA’s annual fundraiser on Sept 23 at 5 pm. Evening includes gourmet dinner, wine, silent/live and the famous cake auction. Tickets must be purchased in advance at slocasa.org. Also go online to enter the Instant Wine Cellar Raffle for 50 bottles of wine and a wine cooler frig and other prizes. CASA of SLO County was recently named the Central Coast’s Favorite Charity by KSBY and PG&E for the second year in a row; receiving $10,000.
