Happy 4th and It’s Fair Time!

The staff of the Paso Robles Event Center has so many things packed into the 12 days of “America’s Favorite Fair,” the 72nd Annual Mid-State Fair, plus so many new additions including a whole new carnival, you’re gonna want to plan to spend several days enjoying it! “Come One, Come All…” as this year’s theme states!
One of the most amazing additions to the grounds is the Paso Robles Pavilion, a NEW 100,000 square feet of covered event space building with state of the art facilities built with funding provided by the Heritage Foundation and includes NEW Professional Lighting, NEW Big Ass® Fans, NEW Restrooms & Shower Facilities, NEW Wash Racks and NEW Adjacent Show Office.
“We’ve updated the website (midstatefair.com) to make it easier to access and explore so many more attractions,” said CMSF Head of Sponsorships & Publicity Tom Keffury. “New this year is a brand new carnival provider, with TWO separate carnival areas: the traditional carnival area, plus the brand new CUB COUNTRY, a carnival dedicated to toddlers and young children. The new carnival is presented through a new 5 year contract with Helm and Sons Amusements Carnival…they will be providing new rides with new value pricing and a nationwide reputation for great guest services plus a new cleaner look that includes their employees in uniforms,” said Keffury. “they’re seeking a classier Disneyland-kind of experience.
“And while you’re at the Fair this year, stop by one of our many new attractions like the Hall of Bugs, Slugs & Spiders; Wild West Turkey Stampede; Strongest Man & Woman Competition; or Tomatoes, Tortoises & Treasures exhibit!”
Check out these details and much, much more in our special Fair section this month…starting on page 14. The fun starts Wednesday, July 19 and runs through Sunday, July 30…see you there!
