Paso Robles: A Sure Thing

Downtown Paso Robles, California celebrates the 10th Annual Small Business Saturday® by hosting a downtown all community celebration. The town has been an American Express® Neighborhood Champion for 10 years and this year we add our spirit of collaboration among shops, restaurants and tasting rooms.

Downtown Paso Robles is a two time winner of National Main Street Awards and it will really show this Small Business Saturday.

** Shop Small – Thanksgiving Holiday Discounts at various shops (Including We Olive, Spice of Life & Park Street Gallery)

** Open Houses – Featuring stress free ways to enjoy Winter Holidays (EarthTones Gifts & Downtown Tasting Rooms)

** Special Feature – Always a Movie to enjoy (Park Street Cinemas)

** Culinary Delights – Restaurants, Cafe’s and High Rated Restaurants (Oak Pass, Spearhead Coffee, Jeffrey’s),

** Sip and Shop Event – Various Downtown Tasting Rooms (Tickets Required)

This year’s celebration is the 10th Annual Small Business Saturday, marking a decade of support from American Express for local business owners. Since it started in 2010, consumers have reported spending an estimated $103 billion across all Small Business Saturdays combined. 1 That’s $103 billion toward helping communities thrive, spent over just nine days alone.

In order to drive shoppers to Shop Small® this Nov 30, Paso Robles Downtown/Main Street is participating in the American Express® Neighborhood Champion Program to spotlight small businesses and the impact they have on communities. An average two-thirds of every dollar ($0.67) spent at a small business in the U.S. stays in that local community.2 That means shopping small could help bring things like better schools, smoother roads, and new jobs to neighborhoods across the country.

Paso Robles joins all San Luis Obispo cities in celebrating this event through its unique downtown vibe. “To promote this event through the season, we launch  a downtown treasure map” Normal Moye of Main Street shares, “So locals can visit each business for goodwill, treats, discounts AND for a chance to win $$$Gift Certificate Shopping Spree.”  See their website for more information.
