The City of Atascadero and Atascadero Chamber of Commerce will be holding the annual Sweetheart Stroll throughout Atascadero’s downtown. This rain or shine event will be a stroll for sweethearts. The Fairweather Four Barbershop Quartet will serenade the public from 2 to 4 p.m. and complementary tours of historic City Hall will be provided by Atascadero Historical Society throughout the day.
Guests may visit any of the 15 participating merchants offering art to view and treats for visitors to enjoy, including chocolate, cookies, beer and wine. Merchants include anna & mom, Arlyne’s Flowers, Baby’s Babble, Century 21, Historic City Hall, Edward Jones, Farron Elizabeth, Grape Encounters Empourium, Hope Chest Emporium, Mudflat Mercantile, O’Leary & Wallace, Patterson Realty, The Carlton Hotel and Wilkins Printing. Featured brewery and wineries include Black Hand Cellars, Dead Oak Brewing, Eberle Winery, Felten Cellars, Hoyt Family Vineyards, Justin Winery, Opolo Vineyards, Ruby Cellars, Summerwood Winery and Vintage Cowboy Winery.
The Groves on 41 is offering a special olive oil tasting either before or after your tour. Kelly’s Casuals will be holding a fashion show at the Carlton Hotel from 1 to 4 p.m. Horse drawn carriage rides will be available from 1 to 3:30 p.m., with pick-up and drop-offs at The Carlton Hotel.
Tickets will be available beginning at noon in front of City Hall, 6500 Palma Ave., or at Grape Encounters Empourium, 5816 Traffic Way on the day of the event. Tickets are $20 per person and include a complementary, commemorative wine glass and a rose. Cash and checks welcome, but credit cards will not be accepted.

Dads and daughters of all ages are welcome to attend a night of dancing, games, activities, refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Baby’s Babble will bring in lead artist Kayla Holland of For Art Sake to demonstrate a step by step on creating a colorful painting on canvas. Twenty seats will be available for the event. No experience is necessary. P.S. There will be wine (and beer next door).
