Tour of Paso bike ride benefits cancer patients

Celebrates 10th Annual Tour of Paso

Paso Robles Seventy-three riders joined the tenth Annual Tour of Paso Founders Team Challenge on March 24. Tour of Paso bike ride proceeds benefits the Cancer Support Community of the Central Coast, a nonprofit organization in Templeton that offers many programs and support groups for cancer patients and their families free of charge. Riders enjoyed either a 26 or 50-mile ride through the back roads of Paso wine country, then had lunch at Niner Winery and enjoyed live music.
“This is a special event where people come together — survivors, loved ones, friends and family to celebrate those who have been lost to or affected by cancer,” said Shannon D’Acquisto,  Executive Director. “It’s a way to give back and pay it forward for others who are just entering their cancer journey.”
The Tour of Paso is one of Cancer Support Community’s biggest annual fundraisers and this Saturday’s event raised just over $67,000 to support the organization.
This year’s major sponsors included: IQMS, Niner Winery, Thom Schulz, Peachy Canyon Winery and Dr. David Lacey.  Additional support from il Cortile, Caliza winery and Radiology Associates.
