Tip leads PRPD to arrest of burglary suspect

Guillen booked on felony charges

PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles Police Department arrested a man on Sunday, Sept. 22 believed to have burglarized a home on Thursday, Sept. 20.

Officer responded to an interrupted burglary in the 1200 block of Katherine Court on Thursday, Sept. 20.

The owner of the residence had returned home and discovered an adult male, later identified by surveillance footage as Jose Armando Montes Guillen, 20, inside her bedroom. Guillen had a black backpack full of the victim’s belongings and fled out an open bedroom window.

PRPD officers received a citizen tip on Sunday, Sept. 22 that Guillen was seen in the 1600 block of Christina Court. Officers responded to the area and located Guillen who was attempting to hide behind a parked vehicle. Guillen was taken into custody and booked at the County jail on suspicion of felony burglary.
