PASO ROBLES — The Factory is now open at the Paso Robles Sports Club. This new athletic facility, which opened Feb. 3, is the only athletic center in San Luis Obispo County with batting cages for both softball and baseball.
Paso Robles Sports Club is known for being family-friendly, and the Factory is no different. A membership to the club will grant you access to either facility. They have multiple pools and family swim is available all day, not just special times. The facilities also include multiple tennis courts, ellipticals, TRX training, USA weightlifting, free weights, machine-assisted weights, a chiropractor on site, a sauna and more.
The Sports Club offers all types of classes ranging from swim lessons to yoga classes and the Factory will now be offering
“We are getting the best of the best in our area to coach here,” Sara Dobroth said. Templeton Athletic Director Lindsay Franklin and Paso Robles Head Softball Coach Billy Tidwell both coach classes at the facility. Franklin specializes in pitching while Tidwell focuses on hitting.
The Factory and the Sports Club encourage families to come and hang out and provides childcare with Trustline-certified babysitters. The purchase of one family membership includes two adults and any dependents under the age of 26.
Both facilities combine to feature almost 30,000 square-feet of space and is open every day from 4:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. The Factory also features a full deli, beers on tap, and strong Wi-Fi that parents can choose to enjoy with or without their kids.
The Factory will be having an open house on Saturday, March 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. where the public can come and see the facility, take complimentary classes or even try a beer tasting.
