PASO ROBLES – Symphony-goers sit at the edge of the grass at Vina Robles Amphitheater Sunday evening for Symphony at Sunset, featuring the Opera San Luis Obispo Grand Orchestra. Conducted by Artistic Director Brian Asher Alhadeff, the program included soprano Alba Franco-Cancél singing an aria from Mozart’s “Magic Flute” (full opera coming to Opera SLO in October), Pianist Matthew Harikian performing Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” and Templeton Performing Arts Center Assistant Director Lauren Josephs singing “Let it Go” from the popular film “Frozen.” Children were dancing all around the stage and up and down the grass area and families chose the grass over the general seating area, thanks to a partnership with the County Office of Education, providing free admission to all children attending with an adult.
