Paso Police searches for Cervantes who fled the scene

PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Lucio Merino Cervantes, a 24-year old Paso Robles resident. Cervantes is suspected of stabbing another man during a fight in Paso Robles on Feb. 17.
Twin Cities Community Hospital staff notified officers about the stabbing Saturday night, around 8:20 p.m., when the victim arrived for treatment. The victim and witnesses told investigators that Cervantes stabbed the victim while several men fought in front of a liquor store along the 3300 block of Spring St. earlier that evening.
Witnesses said Cervantes fled the scene, with two other unidentified males, in a dark colored sedan. Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding this incident to determine what lead up to the fight. It does not appear to be gang related.
