Sherriff’s Office asks for public’s help to find armed robbery suspect

TEMPLETON — The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Anthony Pamfilo Espinoza, who is wanted in connection to an armed robbery of a gas station in Templeton.

On Friday, Dec. 14, Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at the Chevron gas station in the 700 block of Las Tablas Road in Templeton.

It was reported a suspect tried to steal some alcohol from that location. The owner confronted the suspect. At that time, the suspect pulled on a black mask and then threatened the owner by indicating he had a weapon, although no weapon was seen. The owner was able to take a photo of the suspect as he fled the scene. The loss from the store is unknown at this time.

Approximately 15 minutes later, a vehicle believed to be associated with the suspect was located at the intersection of 15th and Spring Street in Paso Robles. Two people were detained but later released. The suspect is still outstanding.

The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Anthony Pamfilo Espinoza. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black hooded jacket and dark shorts, and dark socks with sandals. He is Hispanic, 6-feet tall, and weighs approximately 270 pounds. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

If you know his whereabouts or have any additional information, call the Sheriff's Office at 805-781-4550.
