In loving memory of Ruth Hoppe, 81, who passed away on Nov. 19 at home. She was born Jan. 7, 1937 to Theodore and Marvia Daharsh in Hanford, Calif.
She married Don Harper and had four children: Wayne Harper, Donna Cronin, Michael Harper, and Nancy Crowel. She later married Clyde Hoppe and moved to Washington, Pennsylvania, Colorado and then came to Paso Robles, where she worked at Zurns and then Atascadero State Hospital.
After she left the State Hospital, she helped raise five of her 10 great-grandchildren which, were the light of her life: Jessica Texta, Brandon Seaver, Courtney and Andrew Barreto, and Abigail Domingues. In September, she had her first great-great-grandchild Dominic Zane Texta.
She loved watching westerns, especially John Wayne, knitting and her two Pekingese, Dolly and Bugsy.
Now, she had gone home to her mother and father, brothers, Robert and Wesley, sister Dorothy Clayton and her two best friends, Dolly and Bugsy.
