Routine traffic stop leads to arrest of 2 on drug charges

PASO ROBLES — A routine traffic stop led to a Paso Robles Police Department arresting two people on drug charges in Paso Robles on Monday, June 3.
The driver, Henry Theodore Lee Long, 37, of Atascadero, had a suspended license. Long’s passenger, Amanda Jolene Valencia, 42, also of Atascadero, had a warrant out for her arrest. A search of the vehicle yielded 60 grams of meth, 24 grams of heroin, numerous pills, scales, and other drug paraphernalia. Both were arrested.
Long was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a narcotic controlled substance for sale, possession of paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Valencia was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a narcotic controlled substance for sale, and possession of paraphernalia. Additional charges for Valencia included suspicion of providing false identification to a peace officer and a warrant for arrest for failure to appear.
Long was booked into County Jail on June 4 and his bail was set at $50,000. Valencia was booked into County Jail on June 4, and her bail was set at $5,000.
