PRPD: Man stabbed during fight in apartment complex


PASO ROBLES — A man was stabbed in the back during a fight in an apartment complex Saturday night, April 13, the Paso Robles Police Department reported.

PRPD is looking for Asiv Mellin, 29, of Paso Robles. They believe Mellin is responsible for the stabbing.

At approximately 8:65 p.m. on Saturday, officers and personnel from the Paso Robles Emergency Services responded to the courtyard area of the Presidio Apartments, located at 3200 Spring St., regarding a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a single victim in the courtyard who was suffering from a small stab wound to the back. The victim was transported to Sierra Vista Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.

Officers learned the victim was drinking with friends in the courtyard when the group was reportedly approached by Mellin. An altercation broke out and Mellin stabbed the victim once in the back before fleeing in a light-colored Chevy Silverado with a matching Tonneau-style cover.

Mellin is described as a Hispanic male adult, about 5-11, weighing 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Mellin was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey sweatshirt, white shoes and a green hat.
