Philip Lynn Boulware passed away at the age of 67, at his home in Paso Robles, on Feb 12. Known as Papa by those that loved him, he will forever be remembered by his wife and partner of 40 years, Terry Lea Boulware; his children Maggie (Dan), Whitney and Hunter; Terry’s son Brandon; two granddaughters Ayla and Elyse; his sister Mary and brother Michael; his uncle David; numerous nieces and nephews - and five dogs, four cats, two tortoises, and that one tortoise he accidentally put in the recycling.
Phil will forever be remembered for his easy going personality, the (re)telling of his favourite jokes and stories and his limitless love for his friends, family and coworkers.
Raised in Calgary, Alberta, Phil chose a Petroleum Engineering education in Tulsa, OK, where he met, fell in love and married Terry. Together they raised four children and too many numerous dogs. Relocating to the Central Coast in 2001, Phil found his forever home. He loved Paso Robles and the friends he’d made here. He could lately be seen riding around town on his bicycle. Let this be a lesson - always wear your helmet.
A Celebration of Life will be held Feb 20 at 2 p.m. at North Country Christian Fellowship in Paso Robles. Please join us afterward at Manny’s Bar & Grill to raise a glass of Chardonnay in Phil’s name and share stories.
