Budget forecast sees reserve at 3 percent by 2021-22

Thanks to $2.1 million in cuts and other prudent moves, PRJUSD Chief Business Officer Brad Pawlowski reported at the June 25 school board meeting that the District was forecasting a 2.01 percent reserve ($1.575 million) for the 2019-20 budget and that it would continue to get better in the subsequent two budget cycles if they stayed on track — 2.38 percent reserve ($1.911 million) in 2020-21 and 3.01 percent reserve ($2.481 million) in 2021-22 — if there are no major revisions in the state’s budget.
