Kyle Lawrence Bridgeman passed away on Aug. 17, 2018, in Applegate, Calif. from a single car accident.
Kyle was born on May 23, 1988, at Twin Cities Hospital in Templeton. He was a longtime resident, and attended San Benito and San Gabriel elementary schools, Atascadero Junior High School and graduated from Atascadero High School on June 8, 2006, which was the 85th commencement.
While in high school, Kyle was on the wrestling team and played football. He earned honors at Atascadero High School, including Earth science award “Student of the Month” from Principal Kim Spinks plus another “Student of the Month” in May 2003 from Sam Derose. Kyle also received a citizenship award in March of 1997 for good behavior and sincere interest in learning.
Kyle studied martial arts at Ken Yu Kan in Atascadero, learning white, yellow, gold, orange, blue and purple belts.
After high school graduation, Kyle worked at a local paint store delivering paint and worked at Van Go Painting in Atascadero.
Kyle had a way of making people laugh when they were down, he made friends and was very social. His sister Alyssa had this to say about her brother:
Losing my brother has been so unreal. I’ve had so many emotions and have been struggling to find peace. Everyone that’s created, given and been sharing this GOFUNDME, you have given me some light, I’m so thankful for all the love people are showing. Kyle was funny, sweet, and so smart. He used to laugh at me every time I was grounded for being caught sneaking out of the house. Dad never knew but he did it all the time. Kyle was great at sports and building friendships. When we were kids we fought a lot but we always hurt if the other did. He was thoughtful and was always there for me when I was having a hard time. His jokes, mad rhymes, and bonds with the people that loved him will always be my happy thoughts of Kyle. I pray that everyone holds on to all the great memories. My sweet brother.
Kyle is survived by his father, Frank Bridgeman, mother, Christina Sincere Bridgeman, sister, Alyssa Bridgeman, sister, Jeannie Speth and lots of nephews, uncles, and aunts. Services will be held at the Atascadero Bible Church on Sept. 8 at 11 a.m.
