HWY 101 road work in Santa Margarita may cause delays


Drainage work began this week, lane closed

COUNTY — The right lane of southbound US Highway 101 was closed just south of Tassajara Creek Road on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. until noon for drainage work.
Electronic message boards will be activated near Highway 41 in Atascadero so motorists will be aware of this maintenance work. Motorists can expect delays as they approach the project area.
The public is being asked to allow extra time for any appointments or business planned south of the project area.
The roadwork is being performed by the Caltrans Maintenance team of San Luis Obispo.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
