Highway 1 paving between Harmony and Cambria begins next week

COUNTY — A project to resurface the pavement on Highway 1 from just north of Harmony Valley Road to Cambria Pines Road will begin on Monday, June 10.

Motorists will encounter alternating lane closures with flaggers Sunday night through Friday morning from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Construction will also take place Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 15 minutes. Electronic message boards will inform the public about this roadwork. This project will result in a smooth ride for everyone.

The contractor for this $3.2 million project is Granite Construction of Santa Maria. The project is expected to be completed this September.
