SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will begin construction to install 22 dynamic feedback signs at specific curves on the county road network. The project is federally funded through the Highway Safety Improvement Program. Work started on May 29 and continue into late June.
This project will improve road safety for motorists by providing real time speed information against the recommended advisory speed for the specific curve.
The highway curve sites include:
• Creston Rd. at Neal Springs Rd.
• El Pomar Dr. at Moss Lane
• El Pomar Dr. at Vaquero Rd.
• El Camino Real, South of Santa Margarita Rd.
•Vineyard Dr. at Dover Canyon Rd.
For the safety of the public and workers, a minimum of one-lane of traffic will be opened to the public with approximately 10-minute delays. Motorists are advised to adjust their travel plans and consider alternative routes.
