SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — The San Luis Obispo County Department of Planning and Building, Code Enforcement will begin weekend and holiday on-call service to the unincorporated areas of the county. Beginning on Friday May 4, residents can call (805) 788-2350 and speak directly with the on-call County Code Enforcement Officer. The on-call hours will be:
Friday 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Sunday 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Holidays 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
This service will allow people to report violations such as unpermitted grading, work that is causing environmental damage, unpermitted temporary events and violations of event conditions. These types of activities often occur on weekends outside of Code Enforcement’s normal business hours. The environmental damage can be extensive and typically irreparable. The Department is hoping to reduce or eliminate these types of weekend problems by providing this on-call service.
