Catherine Ann Woodland, 60, of Paso Robles, was taken from us on April 6, 2018.
Catherine was born in October 1957 to Albert and Sylvia Perez in Tuscon, Ariz. She spent her youth in South El Monte and graduated Mountain View High School in 1975. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Political Science in 1987 and from Western State University College of Law as a Juris Doctor in 1992. Catherine passed the bar and received her license in 1994. She specialized in Family Law and Commercial Traffic Litigation and had offices in Paso Robles and West Covina.
Catherine had many interests in her early years. She was a full-time teacher while attending law school. She created and hosted a cooking show for a time on Southern California Public Television. She was involved in Heritage Foundation at the California Mid State Fair. Catherine enjoyed cooking, listening to all kinds of music and gardening. Robert and Catherine were also involved in various forms of auto racing with the Woodland family.
Catherine and Robert Woodland were married on March 20, 1999, and settled in Diamond Bar and later relocated to Paso Robles in 2002. Robert began raising wine grapes while Catherine continued her legal practice.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Woodland, mother, Sylvia Perez, siblings: Debbie Guerra, Albert Perez, Jr. (Lola), and Robert Perez (Kristi); and father in law Richard Woodland (Claudia); brothers in law Richard Woodland, Jr. (Kelly); Patrick Woodland (Sabrina), and sister-in-law Jeanette Woodland Mayfield (Tracy).
Surviving nieces and nephews include Brian Guerra (Michelle) and their two children, Savannah and Sonny; Amanda and AJ Perez, Jak, Edi, Ryn, Riley; and Morgan and Brianna Woodland.
A service will be held for Catherine on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima, 820 Creston Road, Paso Robles. Grave Site service to follow at Paso Robles District Cemetery, 45 Nacimiento Lake Drive, Paso Robles.
