Atascadero — A celebration of life for Brittni and Brynn Frace will take place at the Atascadero Bible Church, 6225 Atascadero Ave. on Friday, Jan. 26 at 4 p.m.
“The family is asking that no one wear black, but instead a fun T-shirt, dress is colorful and causal,” reads a statement provided by Bob Rollins, a family spokesperson.
After the celebration at the church, attendees are invited to walk over to Atascadero High School track where attendees have the opportunity to walk the track, share in fellowship and laugh and share stories.
On Saturday, Jan. 27 a “Run for Bitti and Brynny” will take place. It starts in Atascadero at the Staples parking lot and runs along the DeAnza Trail. The run will begin at 9 a.m. and is five or six miles long.
In honor of Brittni Frace who passed away Jan.16 after a car accident along with her sister, Brynn Frace, the family started a GoFundMe to help start two programs: a Memorial Athletic Scholarship and an Athletic Shoe Donation program.
According to the GoFundMe page,“Their mother, Sharilynn Frace, along with her husband, want to ensure that any athlete who is unable to acquire shoes to succeed in their chosen sport would benefit from this program.”
Secondly, they also want to start a college scholarship fund to support athletes who wish to continue pursuing their sport while furthering their education, according to the page.
As of the morning of Jan. 26 the GoFundMe campaign has reached $24,000 of the new $40,000 goal in just two days. The campaign can be found at https://www.gofundme.com/BrynnandBrittni.
