ATASCADERO — This Saturday the Charles Paddock Zoo will offer a chance to party down with some real wild animals as it hosts the third annual Brews at the Zoo event from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Guests can choose to sample from several local craft breweries, wineries and cideries including Bristol’s Cider House, Frolicking Frog Winery, Santa Maria Brewing, Tap It Brewing Company and more. The event is closed to the general public and only open for guests 21 years of age and older.
The Charles Paddock Zoo is also heavily involved in wildlife conservation efforts. By encouraging such close proximity and exposure to these animals, the zoo hopes to familiarize visitors with the animals’ relevance to and absolutely essential importance in ecosystems across the globe. This event, like so many others, is an interactive opportunity to promote the preservation of biodiversity and all proceeds from the event will directly benefit the zoo’s ongoing education and conservation efforts.
Tickets for the event, which cost $30 if bought early or $35 at the door, can be found online by visiting www.visitatascadero.com/brew-at-the-zoo. Admission will include a variety of food options including barbecue, Thai food and Mexican food and live musical entertainment by DJ Jerry Craig. There will be karaoke, hula hoop and a dance contest, too!
Whether you are hoping to learn more about animals or simply finish off your work week with a bang, the Brews at the Zoo event is bound to be a great time.
