PASO ROBLES — As part of the library’s Summer Reading Program, Reading Takes You Everywhere, the public is invited to head out on the final vicarious travel adventure of the summer.
This month, visit several countries in Asia with local traveling couple Karen MacLaurin and Mike Cussen. Enjoy Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam as well as Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China. What started as a visit to Bangkok to see a friend turned into a six-week adventure including floating restaurants, bird watching on the Chinese border, and a visit to Big Buddha.
If travel to Asia is on your bucket list, you are curious about Southeast Asian culture, or just want to learn more about the world, attend this engaging presentation on Friday, Aug. 3, 6-7:30 p.m.
The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring St. and is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on library programs and events, call 805-237-3870 or visit www.prcity.com/ library.
