$20K in stolen items recovered in Paso

PASO ROBLES — During an enforcement stop, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Deputies pulled over a vehicle with three women on Saturday, Dec. 22. and found stolen property valued at $20,000.
Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a vehicle and made contact at approximately 1:37 a.m. with Dashia Monet Lee, 29 of Richmond, Mercedes Denise Cannonier, 34, of San Francisco and Latalia Annette Smith, 34, also of San Francisco. They were driving northbound on Highway 101 and Wellsona Road in Paso Robles.
During the traffic stop, it was determined that there was stolen property in the vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies recovered items believed to have been stolen from retailers in Southern California.
Many of the stolen items came from Victoria’s Secret, Lids, and American Girl, however other retailers appear to have been victimized as well. Items included toys, clothing, and make-up. Sheriff’s deputies also found burglary tools during their investigation.
All three women were booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of felony possession of stolen property, and possession of burglary tools. Smith also had warrants for grand theft and battery out of Santa Clara County, as well as a warrant for theft out of Napa County.
