$100 counterfeit bills exchanged in Paso store


Police seek suspects

PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles Police Department is requesting public assistance with locating two women who are suspected of passing counterfeit $100 bills throughout Central Coast businesses.

Janet Marie Deras and Ines Marie Jimenez allegedly attempted to pass two Counterfeit $100 bills On Jan. 31 at the J.C. Penny department store on Niblick Road. Deras, 21, and Jimenez, 30, attempted to spend the bills and claimed to have no idea that the money was fraudulent. The women were possibly accompanied by another person of interest, Joshua Lee Maddox, 38, who is associated with a yellow 2018 Chevrolet Camaro.

Deras has two star tattoos over her left eye and a V-shaped diamond tattoo in the center of her chest on her clavicle. Jimenez also has numerous tattoos below the neckline and both women often wear shirts displaying them.

Anyone with information about Deras’ or Jimenez’s whereabouts should contact Paso Robles Police Department officer Joseph Leonard at (805) 237-6464.
